Energyrite was founded in Ballito, South Africa as a father and son concept early 2012. This revolutionary idea at the time, became a reality for the Fullers; Scott and Cherice in 2013, with Energyrite providing hundreds of customers energy saving solutions since.
Building a foundation
In 2014, Energyrite completed its first installation at a KFC store, which marked the beginning of its journey in the energy management industry. This installation gave the company valuable experience and knowledge that it would use to improve its solutions and services going forward. That same year, Energyrite began researching and developing energy-saving load-side devices to enhance the energy efficiency of its solutions.
Advancing energy efficiency
In 2015, Energyrite launched access to a mobile app for real-time energy monitoring. This app enabled businesses to track their energy consumption on the go and make informed decisions about their energy usage. The company saw a significant increase in demand for its solutions following the launch of the app, and it continued to innovate and improve its offerings.
Making energy management accessible
In 2016, Energyrite installed its first Spur restaurant and initiated off-site remote control of appliances. This allowed for the automatic reduction of energy consumption during off-peak periods, resulting in significant savings for businesses. The company's energy-saving solutions were gaining popularity across the region, and it continued to expand its reach.
Streamlining energy savings
The company partnered with Spur Corporation to offer energy management solutions nationally. This partnership allowed Energyrite to bring its expertise and innovative solutions to a wider audience and helped to establish the company as a leader in the industry. Energyrite expanded its operations to the United Kingdom in 2017, marking a significant milestone in the company's growth.
Crossing international borders
In 2018, Energyrite completed its first installation for a SuperSpar Group and grew to a team of 10 staff members. The company's growth was fueled by its dedication to providing exceptional service and tailored solutions that met the unique needs of each business it worked with. Its reputation as a reliable and effective energy management provider continued to grow, and it attracted more clients across the region.
Team growth and expertise
By 2019, Energyrite had achieved its first 250 customers and had expanded its reach to the UK-based Cosmo Restaurant Group. The company's success was driven by its commitment to innovation and its focus on providing customised energy management solutions that delivered real results. Energyrite continued to push the boundaries of what was possible in the industry and was recognised as a leading provider of energy management solutions.
Expanding the customer base
Despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Energyrite continued to provide energy management solutions to businesses. The pandemic caused widespread disruption to the industry and forced many businesses to reevaluate their energy management strategies. Energyrite adapted to the changing landscape and continued to offer innovative solutions that helped businesses reduce their energy consumption and costs. Energyrite thus provided financial relief to the restaurants.
Navigating a pandemic
In 2021, Energyrite expanded its reach to the Swaziland Restaurant Group and signed a partnership agreement with YUM KFC Equity Group SA, solidifying its presence in the South African market. These partnerships demonstrated the continued growth and success of the company, which had become a trusted provider of energy management solutions across the region. Energyrite remained committed to its mission of helping businesses reduce their energy consumption and costs while contributing to a more sustainable future.
